See our new ‘thank you’ page for details of all those who are helping us, but new this month, our thanks to:
The Stroud Valleys Project - see above And
DairyCrest who have donated a large number of 2 pint plastic containers for distributing apple juice that can then be used fresh or frozen (rather than pasteurised).

MORE GOOD NEWS ... - Trees are coming!
The Stroud Valleys project are donating us a number of both large (apple and pear) and small (plum and damson) trees.
Their people have visited the site and told us that we can expect to have the trees and some protection for them ready to plant soon. Next few working parties will be to prepare the (very stony) ground for these, and to dig holes ready.
Workparties :
Things seem to be occurring most Saturdays, now - contact orchard warden Kevin Dalby for more detail or use the contacts page.
Apple Days
Already a HUGE success and still a couple more sessions to go.
Much enjoyment has been had all round, especially since we have been blessed with sunshine on all of our days so far.
The big day last Saturday ( 22/10/11) saw members of the Eastington Youth Group go out in scrumping parties and collect something like a ton of unwanted apples and pears!! We have processed about half of these so far and hope to get through the remainder this week.
More details on the Apple Day page, but WELL DONE to all concerned and our continuing thanks to Patrick French and Tim Potts for use of equipment.
We will be thanking Patrick this week by donating some apples, bottles and a work party for a day at William Morris house to produce some juice for their own use.
Tim will have his reward once the cider begins to come on stream!!
